New Delhi, March 6 (IANS). The ancient tradition of yoga has been going on for centuries. It not only keeps the body healthy but also makes the mind calm and stress free. One such effective exercise is ‘Pindali Shakti Vikasak Kriya’.
This yoga asana proves to be especially effective in strengthening the back part of the legs i.e. the calves.
Regular practice of this yoga asana keeps the muscles of the legs strong and also provides relief from many types of physical problems. It has many benefits.
The Ministry of AYUSH has described it as a micro yoga exercise, which makes the calves strong and toned. According to him, regular practice of exercise improves blood circulation, relieves fatigue and strengthens knees and ankles. In addition, the stability of the waist and the entire lower back increases.
If there is tiredness in the legs due to daily standing or long walking, then adopting this in your lifestyle relieves the tiredness. It involves circular movements of the hands and sitting-up movements along with breathing.
Anyone can easily practice calf strength developer exercises at home. With a few minutes of exercise daily, legs become toned and strong. To do this, stand straight on the yoga mat, feet should be together, body should be straight and fists of hands should be clenched. Now while inhaling, spread the hands in front and sit on the knees, keep the heels on the ground and while exhaling, bring the hands back and stand. Initially practice 20-25 times.
Maintain coordination of breathing and movement while performing the activity. If you have any knee problems, start slowly or consult an expert. Doing it in the morning on an empty stomach or in the evening gives better results.
