Seven years of Ayushman Bharat Yojana, PM Modi said, 'India is witnessing revolution in the field of public health'

New Delhi, 23 September (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated on the occasion of completion of seven years of Ayushman Bharat Yojana. He also posted on social media platform X.

Referring to this scheme in his post, Prime Minister Modi said, “Today we are celebrating the completion of seven years of Ayushman India. This was an initiative that focused on ensuring high quality and affordable healthcare for the people, understanding the future needs.”

He said, “Due to this, India is becoming a witness to a revolution in public healthcare. It has ensured financial security and respect. India has shown how scale, compassion and technology can further pursue human empowerment.”

Apart from this, the central government also mentioned the scheme on its social media platform X’s ‘My Gav India’ account.

Referring to this scheme, the post said that the true leadership in the government lies in forecasting the future needs. Ayushman Bharat, on the completion of seven years of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, India is celebrating a healthcare revolution, which has created a new definition of health services, ensuring financial security, universal access and respectable care for more than 55 crore citizens.

The post further states that this is a scheme that prepares a blueprint for how visionary policies can write the destiny of public health afresh.

Explain that Ayushman Bharat Scheme is the Health Insurance Scheme of the Government of India, which provides free health services to more than 50 crore poor and weak people. This includes annual coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family, which applies to hospitalized. Its goal is to make health care cheaper and accessible.
