New Delhi, March 24 (IANS). Squats are an exercise that anyone can do easily at home and its benefits are amazing. This exercise is very important not only for fitness but also for increasing joint health and flexibility.
If you want to strengthen your knees and hips, doing a few minutes of squats every day can make a big difference. When we do squats, the muscles of our thighs, hips and knees get activated. This improves blood circulation in these parts and makes the joints stronger. Additionally, it also increases the stability and balance of your body. This makes everyday tasks, such as walking, climbing stairs or sitting and getting up, easier.
The method of doing squats is also very easy. Stand straight, feet shoulder-width apart and slowly bend your knees and sit down as if you are sitting on a chair. Hold for a few seconds. Then slowly rise back up. Do this 10-15 times and gradually increase the number. If you do this for 5-10 minutes daily, you will feel the difference within a few weeks.

But keep in mind, if you have a problem like arthritis or severe pain in your knees, then be careful while doing squats and consult a doctor first. Stop using it immediately if you feel pain or injury. Also, always exercise with correct posture. Doing it wrong can put pressure on the knees and lead to injury.
