Lucknow, July 3 (IANS). The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a major step towards developing the Noida-based Pediatric and Postgraduate Educational Institute as a major center for super specialty child health services.
Chief Secretary S.P. In the 13th Governing Body meeting held under the chairmanship of Goyal, several important proposals including starting the departments of Emergency, Pediatric Pulmonology and Pediatric Critical Care were approved.
Besides, instructions were also given to identify additional land for the expansion of the institute. Chief Secretary S.P. The 13th Governing Body meeting of Pediatric and Post Graduate Educational Institute, Noida was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Goyal.
In the meeting, many important decisions were discussed and 20 important agendas related to expansion of medical services, strengthening of medical education and research activities were discussed and approved. In the meeting, it was decided to start Emergency Department, Pediatric Pulmonology Department and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Department in the institute.
For the smooth functioning of these departments, approval was given to create the posts of Junior Resident and Senior Resident along with the posts of specialist doctors. The Governing Body also approved the creation of necessary medical posts for conducting paramedical courses in the institute.
Apart from this, permission was given to start Pediatric Regional Anesthesia Fellowship Program in the Department of Pediatric Anesthesia, which will promote super specialty medical education and prepare expert human resources.
It was said in the meeting that these decisions will increase both the scope and capacity of the health services of the institute. Children coming for treatment, especially in serious and emergency situations, will be provided with state-of-the-art and specialist medical facilities in a single complex.
Besides, medical education, research and educational activities will also get new impetus. The Governing Body also considered the need for future expansion of the Institute. In this regard, instructions were given to Noida Authority to immediately identify suitable additional land available near the institute and send its proposal to the government, so that planned expansion of the institute can be ensured as per future needs.
