New Delhi, December 4 (IANS). Being happy is not just about feeling good, but it is also the biggest medicine for the body. Some small things may be ignored amidst the busy routine, but actually keeping yourself happy is beneficial for both body and mind.

There is hardly any person in the world who says ‘I don’t want any more happiness.’ The reason for this is very simple. In happiness, all the tension goes away in a moment and everything starts feeling good. At that time, neither old things bother us nor there is any worry about the future.

Happiness is not a luxury, but an everyday necessity. This does not require expensive medicines, just a little effort. For this, healthy entertainment, spending time with special people, listening to favorite songs or taking a walk in nature is enough.

The Ministry of AYUSH of the Government of India states that happiness is a great medicine in itself, the happier a person is, the less his stress and the stronger his immunity. Happiness can even increase your lifespan.

According to the ministry, when you are happy, good hormones (such as serotonin and dopamine) increase in the body, which automatically reduces the stress hormone cortisol. As a result, diseases stay away and this keeps you fit in every season.

Amazing benefits can be achieved by keeping yourself happy with small things. This reduces the tension. Laughing and smiling daily keeps the mind calm and drives away anxiety and depression. Happy people’s blood pressure and cholesterol remain under control and the risk of heart attack is less. Being happy increases the body’s immunity and cold, cough and infection do not occur easily.
