Some fruits contain high amounts of citric acid, consumption of which causes gas and heartburn. Today we have brought information about such fruits, which should be consumed in small quantities. Therefore, if you are suffering from stomach related problems then reduce the consumption of oranges.
The second one is lemon. Lemons are high in citric acid, which causes heartburn and increases gastric acid production, especially on an empty stomach. Therefore, consume lemon in limited quantities. The third one is pineapple. The properties of pineapple are acidic and pungent and its consumption increases bile. In such a situation, if you are suffering from intestinal problems then avoid consuming pineapple because the enzymes and acids present in pineapple can irritate the sensitive intestinal lining.
Fourth is raw mango. Raw mango is acidic and heavy in nature. The stomach has to work harder to digest it. Its consumption increases phlegm and vata. Indigestion problem may also arise. The fifth is sour grapes. The quality of sour grapes is acidic and increases bile, in such a situation there may be problem of flatulence and gas formation, hence if digestion is slow then consume grapes or sour fruits in limited quantity.
Apart from this, if guava is consumed along with the seeds, it also hinders digestion. Consuming guava including seeds can cause flatulence. Apart from this, consumption of blackberries and berries should also be avoided. According to Ayurveda, sour and pungent fruits increase pitta and weaken agni.
