New Delhi, February 16 (IANS). Considering today’s lifestyle, exercise and yoga are necessary for every class and age. Along with increasing the body’s immunity, yoga is also important for the development of the body.

Yoga also plays an important role in the physical and mental development of children and makes the body healthy. Today we have brought information about easy but effective yoga asanas for children so that the physical and mental development of children can happen faster.

It is very difficult to make children sit at one place and do asanas. In such a situation, children can do easy and effective asanas while standing. The Ministry of AYUSH has given some suggestions of asanas for children, which include Tadasana, Vrikshasana and Parvatasana. These asanas can also be taught to children while playing. By doing Tadasana, the muscles of the feet, ankles and calves of children will be strengthened and it is also effective in increasing the height. Along with this, Tadasana helps in making the shoulders flexible and also reduces the pressure on the muscles of the entire body. This increases blood circulation in every part of the body.

The second asana is Vrikshasana. Vrikshasana is a little difficult to perform, but with time children will learn to balance themselves. Vrikshasana balances the body, strengthens the leg muscles, and also helps in reducing the heavy burden of books on little shoulders.

The third asana is Parvatasana. This is a favorite asana of children because the child has to shape his body like a mountain and this strengthens both the arms and legs. Parvatasana also works to intensify the sluggish digestive fire of children, due to which children get complete nutrition from the diet.

Children should include these three asanas in their lifestyle regularly and parents should also motivate children for yoga and good health. Yogasanas increase the physical and mental activity of children and will help in making the body flexible and developed.
