Troubled by back and body pain? These 4 easy home remedies will give instant relief

New Delhi, January 19 (IANS). Nowadays, complaints of back pain, joint pain, muscle strain or general body pain have become very common. This problem increases due to reasons like sitting for a long time, wrong posture, stress and change in weather. The good thing is that some home remedies can provide quick relief from these problems.

The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has suggested some simple, natural and home remedies, which can provide considerable relief from pain without any side effects. These remedies can be easily prepared at home. All these remedies are completely natural and can be easily adopted in everyday life.

Mixture of coconut oil and cloves:- Lightly heat coconut oil and add 4-5 cloves to it and mix well. When the oil cools down a bit but remains lukewarm, massage it thoroughly on the painful area. Eugenol, an element present in cloves, helps reduce pain and inflammation, while coconut oil nourishes the skin. This remedy is very beneficial in back pain and muscle stiffness.

Camphor in Mustard Oil:- Take mustard oil in a small bowl and add a little camphor in it and heat it on low flame, until the camphor dissolves well. Massage the affected area gently with this warm oil. Mustard oil provides warmth and increases blood circulation, while camphor is helpful in reducing pain. It is very effective for joint pain especially in winter.

Garlic in mustard or coconut oil:- Add 4-5 garlic cloves in coconut oil or mustard oil and heat it. Grind the garlic well, mix it and then filter it. Massage the painful area with this oil daily. Garlic has anti-inflammatory properties, which reduce swelling and pain rapidly.

Turmeric Milk or Golden Milk:- Heat a glass of milk and add half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in it. You can also add some black pepper and honey for taste. Drink this before sleeping at night. Turmeric contains an element called curcumin, which reduces inflammation in the body and helps in faster recovery. Along with pain, this remedy also increases immunity.

These home remedies can prove to be very effective for mild pain. However, if the pain persists or is very severe then definitely consult a doctor.
