New Delhi, February 4 (IANS). Stomach and waist pain is a common problem in many women during menstruation, which is called dysmenorrhea. This pain sometimes becomes so severe that it becomes difficult to do everyday tasks. In such a situation, adopting natural and home remedies is the best way to get relief without medicines. If you too are troubled by stomach and back pain during menstruation, then you can adopt these easy and effective home remedies.

The first solution is garlic chutney. Garlic has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce pain. You can take one spoon garlic chutney on an empty stomach in the morning, it reduces stomach cramps and swelling. This method has been used for a long time and many women have benefited from it.

Another solution is to consume aloe vera gel. Consuming 15-20 grams of aloe vera gel daily in the morning about five days before the start of menstruation helps control stomach cramps and mood swings. Aloe vera also reduces stomach upset and cools the body from within.

The third method is to use a hot water bag. This is the easiest and immediate relief solution. Placing a hot water bag on your waist or stomach reduces muscle spasm and the pain subsides within a few minutes. Doing this daily for 10-15 minutes is very beneficial.

The fourth solution is a mixture of spices and seeds. Taking one teaspoon (about 5 grams) of a mixture containing equal amounts of roasted fenugreek, cumin, celery and fennel seeds with milk, buttermilk or lukewarm water twice a day is very beneficial. It reduces stomach cramps and relaxes the muscles.

The fifth and most important solution is adequate rest, yoga and meditation. It is very important to give rest to the body during menstruation. Doing light yoga and meditation reduces pain and also provides mental relief. This remedy not only reduces physical but also mental stress.
