Yoga is not only beneficial but also fun for every age, Ministry of AYUSH told how

New Delhi, June 6 (IANS). Now only a few days are left for Yoga Day. Meanwhile, the Ministry of AYUSH of the Government of India is giving information about new yogasanas every day and advising to include them in the daily routine. In this series, while explaining the importance of Yogasana, the Ministry said that it is not only beneficial for the body and mind but is also fun.

According to the ministry, yoga is for everyone – be it children, youth or elderly. This is not only healthy but can also be fun. The Ministry of AYUSH said that to make yoga interesting, animal postures like animal pose can be adopted. With these poses, children enjoy learning yoga and the body also becomes flexible.

Along with this, short yoga breaks can be taken between classes in schools or offices, which removes fatigue and increases concentration. Group yoga activities double the fun of doing yoga with family and friends. Announcing the ‘Yoga Creativity Challenge’, the Ministry said that in this people can create their most unique and creative yoga poses. You can also post these on social media in the form of photos or videos. This challenge will encourage people to be creative with yoga and try new postures.

The ministry says that when yoga is fun, people continue it for a longer period. Yoga experts especially urge the youth to lay the foundation of healthy old age from today itself. Regular yoga, light physical activity and adopting a positive lifestyle keeps the body and mind healthy even with age. The journey to healthy aging starts with lifelong movement and yoga.

Yoga is not limited to just asanas. It’s a set of breathing techniques, meditation, and body awareness that benefits people of all ages. Yoga can be done anywhere – at home, in the park or in the classroom.
