65.08 percent voting in the first phase of Bihar elections, highest in the history of the state: Election Commission

The first phase of Bihar assembly elections saw 65.08 percent voting, which is the highest ever in the history of the state. The Election Commission gave this information on Saturday.

According to the latest data released by the office of the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), a record 65.08 per cent of the 3.75 crore eligible voters exercised their franchise in the voting held on November 6. This is 7.79 percent more than the 57.29 percent voting recorded in the 2020 assembly elections.
