Reacting to BJP President Virendra Sachdeva’s allegation that AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal is on “political tour” in Gujarat instead of standing with flood -affected Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi unit president Saurabh Bhardwaj said on Sunday that “any person can go anywhere” and “travel”.
Bhardwaj said that it is the responsibility of the leaders to stand with the people trapped in the crisis. He said that the BJP should appreciate Arvind Kejriwal and party MLAs for providing relief to the flood affected people in Punjab.
Helping. I think the BJP should learn from it. “
Accusing the BJP of adopting double standards, Bhardwaj said, “If Virendra Sachdeva wants to give Visa to Arvind Kejriwal even during a visit to different states, this is his corrupt mindset. Any person can come anywhere.”
His remarks came a day after the allegations by Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva that Kejriwal is on “political tour” in Gujarat rather than standing with flood -affected Punjab.
On Saturday, Sachdeva had said, “Punjab is struggling with floods and needs full cooperation from the state government. As long as Kejriwal was in Delhi, he had nothing to do with the problems of Delhi and now that the Chief Minister of Punjab is not well, he fled to Gujarat instead of cooperating with the state. Our Chief Minister talked to the Chief Minister of Punjab and declared the help of Rs 5 crore who will go to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Fund”
According to officials, till Saturday, 46 people have died due to floods in Punjab. Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that about 2,000 villages and more than four lakh people have been affected. He said that 24 teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and two teams of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are present at the station with the help of a state government with the help of a state government with the help of a state government. 71 crore has been released for relief work.
