In view of the changing security situation in West Asia, the Indian Embassy in Qatar has issued strict guidelines for its citizens. On March 7, 2026, considering the seriousness of the situation, the Embassy has activated three 24-hour emergency helpline numbers. All Indian citizens living in Qatar have been advised to remain alert and remain indoors unless absolutely necessary. Keeping security in mind, the Embassy is in constant touch with the local authorities.

Where to call in case of trouble?
The Embassy has issued special numbers for help which will be staffed 24 hours a day. In view of the increasing concerns of the people, a new number has also been added on March 7. New rules of visa and security
Qatar’s Home Ministry has given some relief regarding visas, but many services are still closed due to security reasons. Indian citizens have been advised to stay away from windows and balconies. At present, routine passport and attestation work has been stopped, only emergency work is being done.
Visa Extension: The period of expired or about to expire visas has been extended for one month from February 28. Border and flights: Qatar’s airspace is closed and flights are grounded. However, ‘Salwa Border’ to Saudi Arabia is open for emergency exit. Transit passengers: A registration system has been started for those who are stranded at the airport so that they can be evacuated via Saudi Arabia.
