Air India Express has announced the resumption of its flights to Muscat, Oman. These services will be effective from March 3, 2026. This is the first Indian airline to return to this route after the ban on flights due to regional tensions. This is a very important news for Indian expatriates living in Oman because it has made the journey to and from India easier.
For which cities has the service started and what is the schedule?
Flight operations from Muscat to various parts of India are being started from Tuesday. The first flight will leave from Muscat for Tiruchirappalli at 10:25 am. Apart from this, services have also been restored for big cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Kochi. Keeping security in mind, DGCA has advised airlines to use safe routes, which may increase the travel time by about 90 minutes.

For the convenience of passengers, the airline has removed the charges for changing the date of travel till March 7, 2026. Also, full refund will be given to passengers whose flights were canceled recently. Muscat service has been restored but flights to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait will remain suspended till the night of March 3.
