Akasa Air Flight Update: Big update on Saudi, Kuwait and Qatar flights, services suspended till 2026

Akasa Air has shared an important information for passengers traveling to Gulf countries. The airline has made major changes to its flight schedules in view of the security assessment and the current situation in the Middle East. While flights to Jeddah are operating normally, services to Doha, Riyadh and Kuwait have been halted for long periods. This will have a direct impact on Indian expatriates and travelers who frequently travel between these countries.

On which routes will flights continue and where were they stopped?

Flights from Jeddah to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kochi and Kozhikode will continue as before. All flights to and from Doha, Riyadh and Kuwait have been suspended until 5 April 2026. Some special services between Riyadh and Mumbai were restored from 18 March 2026. The operation of flights to Jeddah is also completely dependent on the security situation and is subject to change at any time.

New rules for refund and booking for affected passengers

Akasa Air has provided great relief to those passengers whose travel has been affected due to this decision. The airline has completely waived the charges for canceling or rescheduling tickets till March 31, 2026. Affected passengers can seek a full refund of their tickets, which will be credited to their original payment account within 7 days. Apart from this, passengers can also change the date of their journey without any extra money. The company has advised that before leaving for the airport, check the status of your flight on the website or app.
