Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police has made all necessary preparations for Ganpati immersion, including CCTV, public address system, deployment of lifeguards and barricading on 65 natural sites and 205 ponds.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Satyanarayana Chaudhary said, “About 6500 Ganpati and more than 1.5 lakh domestic Ganpati will be immersed tomorrow. Mumbai Police has done all essential preparations including CCTV, public addressing system, deployment of lifeguards and barricading of 65 natural sites and 205 ponds.”

In addition, the Mumbai Police has deployed women policemen in uniform and plain clothes for the safety of women. Officials will use AI to monitor the crowd.

He said, “Police deployment will include 10 Additional Commissioner-Rank officers, 40 DCP-Rank officers, 3000 Inspector-Rank officials and 15,000 constables. SRPF companies, CAPF 4 companies and 3 teams have been deployed for riot control, QRT, BDDS etc..

“Keeping in mind the safety of women, women police will be deployed in both roads and immersion sites, keeping in mind the safety of women. We will use AI to monitor the crowd.
