According to the information given by the police, a dumper carrying gravel collided head-on with a Roseways bus in the district. The number of deaths is expected to increase. It is being told that most of the children and office going people were traveling in this bus, many of whom have died.

Injured were sent to hospital

According to the information, many people have also been injured in this accident, who have been taken to the nearest hospital. Officials said the dumper collided with a Telangana Road Transport Corporation (RTC) vehicle near Chevella, due to which gravel fell on the bus.

Regarding the incident, police said that a road accident took place between a TGSRTC bus and a truck near Khanapur Gate under Chevella Police Station in Rangareddy district. This incident happened this morning. We have reached the spot and more information will be given later.

At the same time, Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has expressed deep sorrow over this serious road accident. According to an official statement, Telangana minister Ponnam Prabhakar spoke to TGSRTC MD Nagi Reddy and Rangareddy district collector over phone and directed them to take necessary steps to provide good medical care to the injured.

Officials say that the accident happened when a tipper coming from the wrong side hit the bus. The minister directed TGSRTC officials to immediately reach the accident site.

70 people were traveling in the bus

Initial reports claimed that the RTC bus was going from Tandur to Hyderabad, with around 70 passengers on board. Most of the children and office going people were traveling in this bus. It is being told that many of these students were studying in different colleges of Hyderabad and were returning to their homes due to Sunday holiday. After the accident, traffic came to a standstill on the Hyderabad-Bijapur highway.
