Bengaluru. In Karnataka, many Congress leaders have climbed the Enforcement Directorate i.e. ED. Even the ED has placed an investigation in the land case against Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and his wife. Now another Congress MLA in Karnataka has been arrested by the ED. The name of the Karnataka Congress MLA is Satish Krishna Cell. The ED has illegally arrested the Congress MLA under allegations of money laundering in iron ore exports.
Quoting official sources, the news agency PTI has said that Satish Krishna Cell is an MLA from Karwar seat in North Kannada district of Karnataka. The ED arrested Congress MLA Cell on the intervening night of 9 and 10 September. Before that, the Congress MLA was questioned by the investigating agency officials in the ED’s regional office in Bengaluru. Karnataka Congress MLA Satish Krishna Cell was produced in court by ED. From where he was given on the remand of the investigating agency for a day. Sources have told the news agency that the ED will apply for the remand of the MLA for a longer day.
Prior to the cell, Karnataka Congress MLA KC Virendra Pappi was also arrested by the ED.
According to ED sources, Congress MLA Satish Krishna Cell is accused of illegally exported iron ore by a company associated with him. The ED also conducted raids in Karwar, Goa, Mumbai and Delhi in Karnataka on 13 and 14 August 2025 in this case. Satish Krishna is the second MLA of the Cell Congress, who has been arrested by the ED in Karnataka in the last few weeks. Earlier in August, the ED arrested Congress MLA KC Virendra Pappi of Chitradurga seat in Karnataka under the Money Laundering Act in connection with illegal betting. Like Pappi, Sail is also considered close to Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivkumar.
