Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has termed the allegations of foreign passport against his wife Riniki Bhuiyan Sharma as completely false. The Chief Minister said in a press conference on Monday that the documents shown by Congress leaders Pawan Kheda and Gaurav Gogoi have been photoshopped with AI. Sarma alleged that these fake documents were taken from a Pakistani social media group to malign his image.
Major shortcomings and mistakes found in documents
While exposing the documents, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that there are many mistakes in them which clearly show that they are fake. He said that the expiry date in these so-called passports is wrong and the QR codes are also not working. Riniki Bhuiyan Sharma has also rejected these allegations outright and said that this is just an attempt to tarnish her image.

The Chief Minister of Assam has made it clear that he will take this matter to the court. He has announced that he will file a defamation case against Pawan Kheda within 48 hours. On the other hand, Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi says that this matter is serious and he will demand investigation from the Election Commission and ED. Congress claims that they have more evidence in this case.
The Chief Minister’s wife has filed a case against Pawan Kheda. Assam Police has verified the UAE passport through diplomatic channels.
