New Delhi. Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, who is lodged in Sitapur Jail, has been granted bail by the Allahabad High Court today in the case of capturing quality bar. The single bench of Justice Sameer Jain had earlier reserved the verdict on 21 August after completing the arguments of both sides. With this, now Azam Khan’s hope of coming out of jail has increased because he has got bail in almost all cases registered against him. Earlier on September 10, the High Court granted bail to Azam in the Dungarpur case and after this, on September 16, the Rampur court acquitted him in the contempt case of the court.

Let us know that on 21 November 2019, Gagan Arora lodged an FIR alleging the quality bar located in the Civil Lines police station area of ​​Rampur. Later, his wife Tanjim Fatima and son Abdullah Azam were also accused in the case. Azam Khan’s bail application was rejected earlier in Rampur’s MP MLA Court, after which he filed a bail application in the Allahabad High Court. Talking about the Dungarpur case, it is a matter of 2016.

In the SP government, the people of Dungarpur Basti were accused of forcibly evacuating from there. 12 cases were registered in this case. In this, a complaint was lodged against Azam Khan, retired CO Ale Hasan Khan and contractor Barkat Ali. On 30 May 2024, the MP-MLA of Rampur was convicted by the special court of Azam Khan to 10 years and Barkat Ali to 7 years. After this, Azam Khan and Barkat Ali approached the Allahabad High Court and challenged the order of the MP MLA Court from where they got bail on September 10 this month.
