Bihar BJP MLA Mishri Lal Yadav resigns from the party

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Bihar Mishri Lal Yadav on Saturday announced his resignation from the party, alleging that Dalits and other backward classes are not getting proper representation in the organization.

Yadav, MLA from Alinagar assembly seat in Darbhanga district, said in a press conference that he would submit his resignation to the party’s state unit president Dilip Jaiswal.He also resigned from the primary membership of BJP and has launched a scathing attack on the party. Mishrilal Yadav said that it is not possible for him to continue in BJP now, because there is no respect for the poor and backward people in the party.

While resigning from the party, Mishrilal Yadav said that BJP has always been against the poor, Dalits and backward people and has never worked for their interests. So now I don’t want to stay in the party.

Mishrilal Yadav said that NDA won the elections in Alinagar for the first time because of him and he comes from a struggling Yadav family. He told that he started politics by winning the Gram Panchayat Mukhiya election and after being MLC from Darbhanga twice, he is currently an MLA from Alinagar. Yadav said that he has always been protecting the dignity of the poor and considers himself a socialist and a person with secular ideology.
