Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) chief and Union minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Sunday said he has no complaints over the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, under which his party has been allotted six seats to contest.

Speaking to reporters after the announcement of the seat sharing formula, Manjhi said he completely accepts the decision taken by the NDA leadership. “We were given only one seat in Parliament, were we angry? Similarly, if we got only 6 seats, it is the decision of the high command. We accept it… We are satisfied with what we have been given. I have no complaints,” Manjhi said. The NDA on Sunday finalized the seat sharing formula for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. According to this agreement, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) (JD-U) will contest on 101 seats each, while Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest on 29 seats. Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Hum-S) have been given six seats each.

This was announced by Bihar BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde, who shared the details on social media platform seats, RLM – 06 seats, WE 06 seats. Leaders and workers of all NDA parties have happily welcomed this decision. All the partners have geared up and are determined to form the NDA government once again in Bihar.”

Voting for the 243-member Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, while the counting of votes will take place on November 14. Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan said that “Bihar is ready” and the NDA government will be formed once again in the state. He said, “Bihar is ready, once again the NDA government, this time with full strength #BiharFirstBihariFirst!” of election program The seat sharing was announced after intense discussions among the leaders of NDA allies.

In the upcoming elections, NDA will face the opposition’s India Bloc. The India Bloc includes Tejashwi Yadav-led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, CPI (ML) Liberation, CPI, CPI(M) and Mukesh Sahni-led Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP).

Political strategist Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraj Party will also contest the elections in Bihar in this year’s elections. In the current Bihar Assembly, which has 243 members, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has 131 members, which has the support of 80 BJP MLAs, 45 from JD(U), 4 from HAM(S) and 2 independent candidates.
