Whichever leader will be elected after the meeting of NDA MLAs will go to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and stake claim to form the government. After this, the swearing in program of the new government will take place on 20th November. Preparations are going on for the swearing-in ceremony at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Nitish Kumar’s name is considered almost certain for CM. Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal has already said that Nitish Kumar will be the CM, only the formalities of electing him as the leader of the legislative party are yet to be done.

According to sources, talks are going on among NDA constituents regarding cabinet departments and the post of Assembly Speaker. There is a possibility that BJP will retain the post of Assembly Speaker. There is talk that senior BJP leader Prem Kumar can be made the Assembly Speaker. His name is at the forefront in the race for the post of Assembly Speaker. Prem Kumar has a lot of experience and has become MLA for the 9th time from Gaya Town. On the other hand, there is also speculation in media reports that the chances of Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) getting the post of Deputy CM are very less.
