At least 15 people were killed and 18 seriously injured in an explosion at SBL Energy Limited in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district, police said on Sunday.
Nagpur Rural Superintendent of Police Harsh Poddar confirmed the casualties and said the injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The explosion took place in the building of SBL Energy Limited under Nagpur Rural Police Station area. The exact cause of the explosion is not yet known.
Senior police officers and other authorities have reached the spot and the rescue operation is underway.
