New Delhi. 17 students of Shri Sharda Indian Institute of Management, located in Vasant Kunj area of Delhi, have made serious allegations including tampering on Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati alias Partha Sarathi, manager of the institute. All these students are doing Post Graduate Diploma (PGDM) course on EWS scholarship. The students allege that Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati sent them objectionable messages and tried to forcibly make physical contact. Some of the wards working there were accused of pressurizing the students. The police have registered a complaint against Chaitanyanand. Chaitanyanand is currently absconding and the police is looking for him.

Shri Sharda is run by the Indian Institute of Management Sri Shringeri Math. A police complaint was filed against Chaitanyanand on behalf of the monastery administrator PA Murali. During the investigation, a total of 32 girl students’ statements were recorded, out of which 17 girls have accused the accused Chaitanyanand of sending, molesting pornographic messages. Police investigation has revealed that the accused used to roam around the Volvo car by putting fake number plates of Embassy. Police have seized the Volvo car. CCTV footage of the institute is also being investigated.
A statement in this case on behalf of Shri Sharda Peetham Shringeri Ashram has been told that Chaitanyanand Saraswati was involved in illegal activities. The bench has filed a complaint against him. The Shringeri Peeth has clarified that the Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management-Restra is recognized by AICTE (AICTE) and the responsibility of its operation was entrusted to Chaitanyanand but now the bench has ended all relations with him due to his wrong conduct and unfair activities. The bench has stated that the institute is operated by the Governing Council constituted by the bench, which is presided over by Dr. Krishna Venkatesh, eminent educationist. The interests of the girl students will be fully protected.
