New Delhi. After years, senior Congress leader and former Home Minister of the country P. Chidambaram has made a big disclosure regarding the Mumbai 26/11 attacks. Chidambaram has said that due to the pressure of America, India did not retaliate at that time. In an interview to a news channel in Chidambaram, he said that he was personally in favor of taking action on Pakistan after 26/11 attacks but the government decided not to take military steps. At the same time, the BJP targeted the Congress on Chidambaram’s revelations and said-he was late.

Chidambaram said, “The then American Foreign Minister Kondolija Rice came to India after the Mumbai attack and he insisted me that India should not respond to it.” On this, I told him that this would be the decision of the government. The US Secretary of State also met the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Chindambaram also confessed that he was hesitant to take over as Home Minister after the 26/11 attack. Please tell that after the attack, the then Home Minister Shivraj Patil resigned. After this, Chidambaram was made from Finance Minister to Home Minister.

On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala reacted to the revelations of Chindambaram and said, why was the UPA government taking orders from America? The Congress gave a clean chit to Pakistan in the 26/11 and Samjhauta Express case and promoted the angle of Hindu terrorism. Even today, the Congress suspects surgical strikes, Balakot and Operation Sindoor. Even the Congress did not even congratulate the Indian team on the victory in the Asia Cup.
