1. Historic clash on Bodh Gaya seat

The entire match between Kumar Sarvjeet and Shyamdev Paswan was very close in almost every round. There came a time when the lead came below 1,000 votes and tension started appearing in the atmosphere.

2. LJP faced tough competition, mathematics slipped in the end

LJP(R) is considered to have a good hold in Bodh Gaya. Shyamdev Paswan kept the contest alive till the end but lost votes in the last round.

3. No challenge beyond number three

Independent candidate Nandlal Kumar stood third with 10,181 votes, but the main fight came down to RJD versus LJP.

RJD has got a big morale boost — a comeback in such a close seat is important for the party.

This is a blow for LJP, as defeat by a small margin will demand a review of the entire political structure.

This seat will act as a political pulse in the big elections of 2027 and 2030.

The impact of Dalit-OBC-Mahadalit equations will be more acute in the next elections.

Many analysts believe that if the NOTA vote had been slightly less, the result could have been different.
This is also one of the important reasons for the close contest on this seat.
