New Delhi. The Supreme Court’s CJI BR Gavai on Tuesday made such a comment by taking the name of Lord Vishnu that people erupted on social media. Many users demanded apology from CJI. At the same time, many raised the demand for impeachment against him. Senior Supreme Court advocate Vineet Jindal has written a letter to CJI Gawai demanding withdrawing the words said about Lord Vishnu. Vineet Jindal has also sent a copy of the letter sent to the CJI to the President.

In fact, a PIL was heard in the Supreme Court on Tuesday. A bench of CJI BR Gavai and Justice August George Christ hearing the petition dismissed it. Before that, while hearing the petition, Chief Justice BR Gawai asked the petitioner to now pray to God to do something. The CJI said that if you are a staunch devotee of Lord Vishnu, then pray to him. The bench of CJI further said that in this case, approval has to be obtained from Archaeological Survey of India i.e. ASI Vagaira.

This PIL was filed by a person named Rakesh Dalal. The case is of the Jawari temple located in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh. The Jawari temple has a 7 fit tall statue of Lord Vishnu. This statue does not have a head. The petitioner had said that the governments did not pay attention to this statue. Nobody heard his plea. He said in the petition that there was a lot of protests on the issue. The petition stated that the idol of Lord Vishnu was broken during the Mughal invasion. The petition said that devotees are not able to worship due to the demolition of the idol of God. Protect the right to worship of devotees. Hope from you only and do not break it. On this petition, the CJI bench said that it does not come under their authority. The issue of his oral comment made by the name of Lord Vishnu was hot.
