New Delhi. CP Radhakrishnan Desh has elected the new Vice President. NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan got 452 votes while opposition candidate B.C. Sudarshan Reddy got 300 votes. In this way, CP Radhakrishnan got 152 votes more than his rival candidate. In the Vice Presidential election, the total voter number was 788, including 245 seats in the Rajya Sabha and 543 Lok Sabha seats, 781 were 781 effective voters due to vacant 7 seats. Out of these, a total of 767 MPs cast their votes in which 15 votes were invalid and 752 votes were considered valid. The voting percentage of the Vice Presidential election was 98.2 percent.

BRS, BJD and SAD decided not to vote in the Vice Presidential elections. The BJD had 7 votes, BRS 4 and SAD had 1 vote. At the same time, an independent MP Sarabjit Singh Khalsa also did not vote. NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan’s victory was considered to be fixed before the election. 391 votes were required to win the election. Voting started at 10 am.
