A very good news has come for the people of Bihar. Now, to go abroad, the passengers here will not have to go to Delhi or Mumbai and change their flights. Nitish Kumar’s government has cleared the way for the construction of a new and huge international airport at Sonpur in Saran district. The government has approved the proposal to acquire land for this project and has also passed a huge budget for it. This airport will be so big that the world’s largest planes will be able to land here easily.
How much money will farmers get in exchange for land?
The government has decided to acquire about 4,228 acres of land for this airport. A budget of Rs 1,302 crore has been kept for this. The most important thing is that to ensure that the farmers who give their land do not suffer any loss, they will be given compensation 5 times more than the real estate rates. This airport will be built in Dariyapur Chanwar area of Sonpur, just 15-20 kilometers away from Patna. The administration says that getting more compensation will make it easier to get land and work can start sooner.
How will this airport be like Dubai and Sharjah?
This airport is being built not just as an ordinary airport but as a big aviation hub. Its model will be like the airports of Dubai and Sharjah. According to MP Rajeev Pratap Rudy, it can become the largest aviation hub in South Asia. The runway here will be 4,200 meters long, on which even the world’s largest passenger plane, the Airbus A380, will be able to land easily. From here, direct flights will be available to America, Australia, England and Gulf countries.
