Etihad Airways has made a big announcement for its customers in India. Around January 30, 2026, the airline announced partnership with five big companies like Swiggy, Flipkart and Shoppers Stop to strengthen its hold in the Indian market. This will directly benefit the common people who frequently travel by air and also do online shopping or order food. Now there will be an opportunity to earn ‘Etihad Guest Miles’ even on everyday spends, which can later be used for free tickets or upgrades.
What benefits will you get on Swiggy and Flipkart?
If you are a member of Etihad Guest, you will get special benefits on Swiggy. The airline has decided to provide free ‘Swiggy One’ membership for 6 months to its existing members. Through this, users get free delivery and other facilities. This facility is live and members can avail it.
On the other hand, the company in collaboration with Flipkart is bringing a new system which will be launched in the next few weeks. In this you will be able to convert your ‘Flipkart SuperCoins’ into ‘Etihad Guest Miles’. These points can be used to buy flight tickets. Additionally, you will also be able to convert your air travel miles into Flipkart SuperCoins and use them for shopping. However, information about how many miles will be available on how many coins is yet to be known.
Information about Shoppers Stop and other offers
The company has also joined hands with Shoppers Stop for retail shopping. This is a first of its kind offer where the airline’s members can avail Shoppers Stop’s ‘First Citizen Platinum Status’ free for one year. Keep in mind that to avail this offer, you will have to opt-in before 15 February 2026. Additionally, you will now earn miles when you stay at The Postcard Hotel.
