Following these attacks on Saturday, 28 February 2026, airports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi had to be closed due to security reasons. Due to this, many students and common citizens of Rajasthan are stuck there. Students hailing from Kota and other districts of Rajasthan, who were studying there, are now requesting help from the Government of India to return to their homeland.

Condition of students stranded in Dubai and Abu Dhabi
According to reports, there were reports of explosions in many areas of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, due to which there is an atmosphere of fear among the Indian students living there. Many students like Siddharth Jain from Kota, who is studying civil engineering in Dubai, and Tania Sharma who is stranded at Abu Dhabi airport, are waiting for help. Family members say that sounds of explosions were also heard near hostels and some important places. At present, families are somehow trying to provide ration and essential medicines to their children, but concerns remain.
What information did the government give regarding help?
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has informed that he is in constant touch with the students and as soon as the situation improves, arrangements for evacuation will be made. At the same time, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi also made it clear that air travel is dangerous right now, hence the safety of students is being given first priority. The Government of India is keeping an eye on the situation. The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has also issued an advisory asking people not to go out without any reason and follow the instructions of the UAE government.
Special things related to flights and attacks
In view of security, the airspace of UAE, Qatar and Kuwait has been closed. Flights at Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports will remain suspended until 3pm (UAE time) on March 1, 2026. UAE Army destroyed 137 ballistic missiles and 209 drones in the air. In this attack, a Pakistani citizen died and some people were injured at Abu Dhabi Airport.
