Ahmedabad. Gujarat Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested three accused, claiming to have stopped a major terrorist attack. Of the arrested alleged terrorists, one is from Hyderabad and two are from Western UP. According to Gujarat ATS sources, all three had reached Gujarat to exchange weapons. It is alleged that these three were planning a major terrorist attack in the country. According to Gujarat ATS, the three arrested people belong to two different modules of the terrorist organization ISIS. They are also said to be connected to Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. All three are being interrogated and the entire network is being traced.
According to Gujarat ATS sources, these three were being monitored for the last one year. According to Gujarat ATS, intelligence was received about a conspiracy for terrorist activities in Adalaj, Gandhinagar. Informers were activated. Based on the information received from them, ATS raided. All three were arrested in this raid. Gujarat ATS sources say that all three were associated with ISIS for a long time. They came in contact with the terrorist organization through social media. The three have been identified as Mohammad Faiq, Mohammad Fardeen and Saifullah Qureshi. Another of his associates has been identified as Zeeshan Ali.
Talking to the media, DIG of Gujarat ATS said that intelligence was received that Mohammad Faiq was in contact with a Pakistani person. Mohammad Faiq was discussing with that Pakistani the ways of carrying out Jihadi activities in India. On getting information about this, Gujarat ATS took all of them on its radar. Due to the disclosure of this terrorist module, a major terrorist attack in the country has been averted. Let us tell you that Gujarat ATS had arrested many more people this year on charges of being terrorists. Terrorists have been targeting Gujarat in the past also. Because of this, Gujarat Police and ATS keep strict vigil.
