Humayun Kabir had earlier accused TMC supremo and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee of working at the behest of BJP and RSS. Let us tell you that after becoming MLA on TMC ticket, Humayun Kabir was also a minister in Mamata Banerjee’s government for some time. BJP has alleged that Mamata Banerjee is trying to save vote bank by putting forward Humayun Kabir. At the same time, TMC MP Shayani Ghosh alleged that Humayun Kabir is trying to spoil the atmosphere in West Bengal by colluding with BJP. Humayun Kabir has hit back at Mamata Banerjee and BJP, calling the allegations of both the parties wrong.
Saturday was the 33rd anniversary of the demolition of Babri in Ayodhya. On this occasion, after calling Muslim religious leaders, Humayun Kabir laid the foundation of Babri Masjid in Beldanga, Murshidabad. Due to this, the politics in West Bengal has become very heated. Whereas, Hindu organizations like VHP are asking whether the Muslims of the country consider this step right? Whereas, many Muslim religious leaders, scholars and leaders like Imran Masood have called Humayun Kabir’s move wrong. He says that the mosque should not have been named after Babar. This spoils communal harmony.
