India One Air plane crash reported, plane hits tree due to engine failure, 1 dead

Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has released its initial report regarding the India One Air plane crash in Rourkela, Odisha. One person has now been confirmed dead in this accident that took place on January 10, 2026, while three other people are said to be injured. According to the investigating agency, due to lack of power in the engine, the pilot had decided to make an emergency landing, but the plane collided with a tree and an electric wire.

According to the report, this flight was going from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela and a total of 6 people including four passengers were on board. During the flight itself, the crew discovered low engine oil pressure and reduced engine power. The pilot immediately considered landing on a nearby dry riverbed, but the aircraft’s altitude was too low.

After this the pilot tried to land in an open field. As the plane was descending, it hit the top of a tree and a power line passing near it. Due to this collision, the plane fell on the ground and its front part was badly damaged.

Death confirmed: Earlier reports had said that everyone was safe, but the new report has confirmed the death of one passenger and injuries to three. Engine Inspection: The aircraft’s Pratt & Whitney engine has been reserved for detailed inspection to determine the exact cause of the power loss. Black Box Data: The data of the aircraft’s CVR (Cockpit Voice Recorder) and FDR (Flight Data Recorder) is being analyzed in Delhi. Foreign help: Experts from America’s NTSB and Canada’s TSB are also helping the Indian investigating agency in this investigation.
