The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday refused to comment on US President Donald Trump’s latest comments in which he mentioned India, Russia and China.
Trump made this comment in a post 10 days after the SCO Summit in Tianjin, China, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin participated. In response to media questions, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Ministry said in response to the media questions, “I do not have to comment on this post at this time.” Answering another question, Jayaswal said that the relationship between America and India is very important. The two countries share a comprehensive global strategic partnership, which is based on our common interests, democratic values and strong relations.
He said, “We are focused on the concrete agenda for which both our countries are committed, and we hope that these relationships will continue to move forward on the basis of mutual respect and shared interests. As you have seen, I would like to draw your attention to the joint military exercise going on in Alaska. A few days ago, there was a 2+2 internal meeting and we are in conversation between the two countries.
Ansening another question, Jaiswal said that India is in constant contact with the US on trade issues. He said, “We see the quad as a valuable platform to discuss shared interests on many issues between four member countries. The summit of the leaders is determined through diplomatic consultation between member countries. As far as Ukrain struggle is concerned, we welcome all the recent efforts towards establishing peace in Ukrain. Are. We hope that all sides will move forward creatively.
The United States has imposed a 50 percent tariff on Indian goods, including 25 percent fine on Russian oil imports. Trump said in its post on Truth Social, “It seems that we have lost India and Russia to the deepest and darkness at the hands of China. God should do their future long and prosperous!”
The government had earlier said that India’s relations with any country are based on its own merit and should not be seen from the glasses of any third country.
