India-US Defense Deal: Defense deal signed between India and America for 10 years, Rajnath Singh said, it is the beginning of a new era.

New Delhi. A major defense agreement has been signed today between India and America. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth met in Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur and after that both signed a 10-year defense deal. Giving information about this, Rajnath Singh himself said, this is the beginning of a new era in the already strong defense partnership between India and America. This defense framework will provide policy direction to the entire dimension of India-US defense relations. This is a sign of our growing strategic convergence and will usher in a new decade of partnership.

Rajnath Singh said that defense will remain a major pillar of our bilateral relations. Our partnership is vital to ensuring a free, open and rules-based Indo-Pacific region. At the same time, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said about this deal that this will advance the defense partnership between India and America, which is the cornerstone of regional stability and deterrence. America and India will jointly exchange information and increase technical cooperation with mutual coordination. He said that such an agreement had never happened before.

This 10-year defense agreement between India and America has come at a time when just two days ago, in a speech before the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in South Korea, US President Donald Trump had praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and described him as the most attractive looking person. Trump had also given a big statement regarding the trade deal with India and he had said that America is going to sign a trade agreement with India very soon.
