IndiGo Flight Update: 10 special flights will run from Jeddah to India, stranded passengers will get relief

Amidst the increasing tension and airspace restrictions in the Middle East, the Indian government and airlines have made major preparations for the safe evacuation of stranded Indian passengers. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has informed that Indigo Airlines will operate 10 special relief flights from Jeddah to India on 3 March 2026. This decision has been taken after hundreds of flights were canceled in the last few days and thousands of passengers were stranded.

These 10 special flights of Indigo will fly from Jeddah to four major cities of India. Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu has reviewed the security situation in a high level meeting. The main objective of these flights is to bring back the passengers who were stuck in the Gulf countries due to the sudden cancellation of flights.

date: Special flights will operate on 3 March 2026
major city: These flights will be for Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad.
Bearing: This decision is expected to provide relief to about 60,000 to 75,000 Indians stranded in the Gulf.

Refund rules and itinerary changes

Keeping in mind the problems of passengers, airlines have relaxed the rules of refund and rescheduling. IndiGo has announced that passengers whose bookings were made on or before February 28 can change the date of their travel without any extra charges or get a full refund till March 7, 2026.
