New Delhi. The difficulty of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family is going to grow further. The Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi will give a verdict on October 13 in the hotel scam related to IRCTC. The court has asked Lalu Yadav his wife Rabri Devi and his younger son Tejashwi Yadav to be present on October 13. The case is between 2004 and 2009 while Lalu Prasad Yadav was the railway minister. In this, Lalu Yadav is accused of irregularities in giving contracts to a firm contract for the maintenance of two IRCTC hotels.
The CBI has accused Lalu, Rabri and Tejashwi Yadav in its charge sheet filed in the case in the tender of BNR Hotel Ranchi of IRCTC and Puri. The contract for maintenance of both the above hotels of IRCTC was given to the Sujata Hotel, a private firm of two entrepreneurs named Vinay Kochhar. According to the CBI, Lalu Prasad Yadav was given a prized benami land of three acres in exchange for this deal. The CBI filed an FIR against Lalu Prasad Yadav on 7 July 2017.
At the same time, CBI has made allegations of fraud, criminal conspiracy and corruption against Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav. However, the lawyer of Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav in this case argued in the court that the CBI did not have enough evidence to prosecute the case. Let us tell you that the case is also going on against Lalu Yadav and his family in the land for job scam case. In this case too, the CBI has filed a supplementary charge sheet. Lalu Yadav’s two daughters are also accused in this case.
