JMM Not Contest Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: JMM did not field candidates in the Bihar Assembly elections, announced not to contest elections, vented anger on RJD-Congress not to contest, venting its anger on RJD and Congress.

New Delhi. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) had announced two days ago that it will contest the Bihar Assembly elections separately from the Grand Alliance. JMM had announced to field its candidates independently on 6 seats. Now that today the last day of nomination for the second phase of elections has ended, JMM has neither declared the name of any of its candidates nor has any candidate filed the nomination on behalf of JMM. After this, JMM leader and minister in Jharkhand’s Hemant Soren government Sudivya Kumar said, with great regret we have to say that JMM will not contest Bihar elections.

Sudivya Kumar said that the political cunningness of Bihar’s grand alliance leading political party (RJD) has harmed JMM and spoiled our party’s intention to contest the assembly elections. We are deeply hurt that no effort was made to ensure proper participation of JMM in the grand alliance under the RJD leadership. Certainly, due to political maneuvering, such a situation has arisen today that JMM is not able to participate in Bihar elections. RJD leadership is completely responsible for this. Also, Congress should have made efforts to ensure JMM’s participation in Bihar but it did not do so.

He has also talked about ‘reviewing’ the alliance with Congress and RJD after the controversy over seat sharing. On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev cornered JMM and said that JMM, which is famous for making big announcements, did not file even a single nomination. He sarcastically said that even the shameless should take training from JMM leaders. He has completely betrayed Jharkhandi identity.
