India’s Kuwait Ambassador Adarsh ​​Swaca on Sunday met Kuwait Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah al-Ahmad al-Sabah. He has now been appointed as the Ambassador of India for Kenya. During this meeting, Ambassador Swaca sent best wishes on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked the Kuwaiti leadership for the help and guidance given by the Kuwaiti leadership to strengthen the long-standing friendly and cooperative relations.

The ambassador also mentioned the journey of service in his three -year Kuwait. He said that this time has been the best phase in recent history. He credited the goodwill of the leadership of Kuwait, the warmth of the people there and the contribution of the Indian diaspora.

He described Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kuwait as the “highest moment” of his time. The tour was the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister in Kuwait after a gap of 43 years. Meanwhile, Sheikh Meshal al-Ahmad al-Zaber al-Sabah gave Modi the highest national honor of Order of Mubarak Al-Kabeer, Kuwait. The ambassador said that this honor is rare and it gave a new chapter to India-Kuwait relations as a strategic partnership.

India and Kuwait have traditionally friendly relations, who have lived in history deep and the test of time. India has always been a natural trading partner for Kuwait. The 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries was celebrated in 2021-22. During Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kuwait in 2024, the relationship was upgraded as a strategic partnership.
