Patna. There is news of a consensus on seat sharing in the grand alliance of the opposition for the Bihar assembly elections. According to news channel Aaj Tak, there was a phone conversation between RJD supremo Lalu Yadav and the Congress high command on Friday night. According to the channel, only after this the agreement on seat sharing in the Grand Alliance was reached. However, there are reports of differences with other parties of the grand alliance on 12 seats. It is believed that the grand alliance will soon finalize the seat distribution and it will be announced.
The channel has quoted sources as saying that after talks between Lalu and Congress on seat sharing for Bihar Assembly elections, it has been decided that RJD will contest on 135 seats. Whereas, Congress will get 55 seats. It has been decided to give 18 seats to Mukesh Sahni’s VIP. At the same time, it has been decided to give 20 seats to CPI-ML, 6 to CPI, 4 to CPM, 2 to Hemant Soren’s JMM and 2 to Pashupati Paras’s RLJP. However, only when the leaders of all the parties of the Grand Alliance come together and announced this, it can be considered that Lalu Yadav has solved the problem of seat sharing.
Let us tell you that Mukesh Sahni, President of VIP, who is part of the Grand Alliance, had publicly announced that his party will contest 60 seats in the Bihar Assembly elections. At the same time, sources from the Left parties said that they have asked for 35 seats from the Grand Alliance. 12 seats were also being sought from Hemant Soran’s JMM. In such a situation, even after everything has been finalized between RJD President Lalu Yadav and Congress, the matter of the Grand Alliance being stuck in trouble is also coming to the fore. Voting is to be held on 121 out of 243 seats of Bihar Assembly on 6 November. Whereas, voting on other 122 seats will be held on November 11. The result of Bihar assembly elections will come on 14 November.
