According to the police, a community alleged that on the occasion of Navratri, an attempt was made to create a dispute by making Rangoli on the road. The people of the community reached the police station at 7 am and complained about it. After which the police arrested the accused of creating a dispute -making Rangoli.

The second community was not satisfied with the strong action of the police. He gathered in the Vel Kotla area coming under Tofkhana police station in Ahilyanagar and started protesting. The police tried to convince them, but the mob threw stones at the policemen. After this, the police fiercely lathi-charged and dispersed the crowd. According to the police, the situation in Ahilyanagar is under control. The police have registered another FIR regarding the disturbance. Police say that they will also take strict action against those who destroy the law and order.

There has been communal violence in Maharashtra this year. From January to March, more than 800 incidents of communal violence took place. There was also stone pelting and arson in Nagpur in the month of March. In which 33 policemen, including three DCP level officers, were injured. There were also incidents of communal violence in rural areas of Pune, Sangli, Beed, Nandurbar and Satara districts. More than 150 cases had been registered in police stations in different districts of Maharashtra in connection with communal violence this year. There were 4836 incidents of communal violence in Maharashtra in the last year i.e. 2024. The NDA government of Maharashtra has taken strict action on every communal violence, but once again the violence has challenged the rule of law.
