The Defense Ministry of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has confirmed the successful foiling of Iran’s air attacks on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The country’s air defense system displayed promptness and destroyed 20 ballistic missiles and 37 drones (UAVs) in the air. On Saturday, the sounds of explosions were heard in different areas of UAE, which happened during the interception of missiles. The ministry has made it clear that the country is fully prepared for its security.

Information about loss of life and property and injured in the attack
Due to these air strikes, 2 UAE Army soldiers have lost their lives. Apart from this, 8 civilians have also died, which include citizens of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Palestine. A total of 178 people have been injured in the debris of the attack and other incidents, who have been admitted to nearby hospitals. A fire broke out due to falling missile debris in KEZAD area of Abu Dhabi, where 5 Indian citizens sustained minor injuries.

Releasing a comprehensive report, the Defense Ministry said that such attacks are being carried out since the beginning of March. The UAE has clarified that it is taking measures in accordance with international rules to respond to any external threat. Not only UAE but Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have also announced the shooting down of missiles and drones near their borders in recent hours. The figures released so far by the ministry are given below:

The UAE Foreign Ministry has issued a statement that the country is in a defensive state and is taking all necessary measures to maintain its territorial integrity and national security.
