Many schools in Delhi received bomb threats, investigation underway

Delhi Police said that on Friday morning many schools in the national capital received bomb threats. Police teams along with fire department personnel immediately reached the affected places to conduct thorough security checks.

The first call which was recorded as a threat was received at 9:13 am by BD Tamil Education, Jhandewalan.

According to Delhi Police, earlier on Monday, emails containing bomb threats were received at nine schools in the national capital.

According to the police, the threats were received through emails between 8:30 and 9:00 am. As soon as the information was received, Delhi Police, Fire Department and bomb disposal squad were immediately sent to the affected schools.

Three schools in South Delhi have received bomb threats. These include Air Force School located at Lodhi Road, KR Mangalam School and The Indian School located at Sadiq Nagar.

Other schools that received bomb threat emails include Loreto Convent School in Delhi Cantt, Cambridge School in Srinivasanpuri, Venkateswara School in Rohini, Cambridge School in New Friends Colony, CM School in Rohini, DTA School in INA and Bal Bharati School in Rohini.
