Anand Kumar, founder of Super 30, was invited to Romania’s oldest university, the University of Bucharest (Universitatea din București). Where he discussed in detail how India and Romania can have meaningful cooperation in mathematics education, which can help the students of both the countries.
Anand Kumar said that the abundant talent in both India and Romania needs the right opportunity to make the world a better place. “Romania has a culture of mathematics, while India has both history and heritage,” he said. He cited the example of Super 30 students from diverse backgrounds who excelled when given the opportunity to showcase their talent and develop interest in the subject.
Anand stressed the need to make mathematics education more interesting and entertaining and also demonstrated with some interesting examples, which was appreciated by the students and academicians present there. Anand Kumar said, “The important thing is that there should be more collaboration between India and Romania in the field of mathematics, which will not only help the students but also the teachers.”
