Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “We worship eight states of North East as Ashtalakshmi, so we cannot see this region back in development.” The central government is spending more and more money for development here. Let me give you an example, the states get a part of the tax that is collected in the country. When the Congress was in government, Arunachal Pradesh received only 6 thousand crores from Central Tax in 10 years while Arunachal Pradesh has got Rs 1 lakh crore in the BJP government. Our government has given 16 times more money to Arunachal Pradesh than Congress rule.

Modi said, Congress has an old habit, whatever work of development is difficult, they do not touch it, run away. This habit of Congress suffered a lot to the North East. Those who were difficult areas which were in the middle of the mountain or the area of ​​the forest where the development work was a challenge, would forget the Congress backward area. The districts which Congress called backward, we made them aspiring districts and gave priority to their development. The border village, which the Congress called the last village, we recognized them as the first village of the country. Today we are seeing good results, new heights of development are visible in the border villages.
