New Delhi. Mauritius Prime Minister Naveen Chandra Ramgulam is visiting India. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed him in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi. During this period, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between India and Mauritius in the presence of PM Modi and Mauritius Prime Minister Naveen Chandra Ramgulam. Addressing the bilateral meeting, Modi said, it is a matter of pride for me that I am getting an opportunity to welcome you in my parliamentary constituency.

Modi said, Kashi has been a symbol of India’s civilization and cultural soul since China period. Our culture and rituals reached Mauritius from India centuries ago and created the life of the life there. Like the continuous stream of Maa Ganga in Kashi, the continuous flow of Indian culture has been enriching Mauritius and today, when we are welcoming Mauritius’s friends to Kashi, it is not just a formality, but a spiritual union, so I proudly say that India and Mauritius are not just partners but a family.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, it is a matter of pride for India to become a reliable and primary partner in the development of Mauritius. Today, keeping in mind the requirements and priorities of Mauritius, we have decided on a special economic package. This will strengthen the infrastructure, create new employment opportunities and improve health facilities. The first Jan Aushadhi center outside India has been established in Mauritius.

At the same time, Mauritius Prime Minister Naveen Chandra Ramgulam said, I believe that we have never received the reception we have received and I am happy that it has happened in PM Modi’s constituency. He told Modi that I can understand why you have been elected by so much votes. Over the years, India has been with him in the journey of progress and development of Mauritius through its various governments.
