Noida Airport gets security clearance, flights will start from April, know which companies will get flights

The wait for the opening of Noida International Airport (Jewar Airport) is about to end. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has granted security clearance to the airport on March 5, 2026. This approval was the last major hurdle before getting the airport license. Now it is expected that domestic flights will start from here from April 2026.

When will the flights be available and which airlines will fly?

According to officials, domestic and cargo services will start within 45 days of getting the aerodrome license i.e. by April 2026. At the same time, international flights are likely to start from September 2026. Initially IndiGo, Air India and Akasa Air will provide their services from here. Booking of passenger fare will start immediately after getting the license.

Domestic flights: Possible from April 2026
International flights: Possible from September 2026
Passenger Capacity: 1.2 crore annually in the first phase

What are the security arrangements and when will the license be obtained?

Strict security arrangements have been made here and more than 1000 CISF personnel will be deployed here. BCAS has approved the airport’s security program and bomb threat plan. Now next week the DGCA team will conduct the final inspection of the runway and terminal. The license will be issued within a week of this. NIAL CEO RK Singh has confirmed that the airport is now in the final stages for operations.
