Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday lashed out at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for fielding the son of late criminal Shahabuddin in the Bihar assembly elections. Addressing a public meeting in Saran, Shah said that to keep Bihar safe, the Modi-Nitish duo will have to be brought back to power.
Shah said, “I have seen the list of RJD-Rashtriya Janata Dal candidates and Shahabuddin’s son’s name is also there in it. Can Bihar remain safe if RJD gives election ticket to Shahabuddin’s son? If we have to keep Bihar safe, we will have to bring back the Modi-Nitish duo.”
RJD has fielded Shahabuddin’s son Osama Shahab from Raghunathpur assembly constituency of Siwan for the upcoming elections. He further said that NDA is contesting the elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Amit Shah said, “In Bihar, we are contesting the elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading the country.”
The Home Minister further said that this time the people of Bihar will celebrate four Diwalis. He said, “This time the people of Bihar are getting a chance to celebrate four Diwalis… The first Diwali will be celebrated on the day of Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya. The second Diwali was celebrated when Rs 10,000 was deposited in the accounts of women under the government scheme. The third Diwali was celebrated when the GST rate on goods was reduced to 5%. The fourth Diwali will be celebrated on November 14, the day of counting of votes.”
Shah also highlighted the work done by the NDA government in Bihar and said, “PM Modi did a lot of work for Bihar… The Nitish Kumar-led NDA government has given free electricity to 1.67 crore families. The NDA government increased the pension for the elderly, widows and the physically challenged three times… All these developments have been done by Modi ji and Nitish ji. Before our government, an industry of murder and kidnapping was being operated in Saran. Was. But now, the NDA government has built many engineering and medical colleges and infrastructure here. Voting for Bihar Elections 2025 will be held on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14.
